Do I Have an Old Story for You

You have heard of hardening of the arteries?  I think I have hardening of the brain.

Like this afternoon when I was on the phone with a woman who was helping me to register online for a class at the local community college. I was going a bit nuts trying to follow her directions.

So, I admit that I am:

  • Getting older looking, but not always feeling older.
  • Getting tense, frustrated and irritable more often, but mostly still relaxed and calm.
  • Getting more physical pains, but still feeling pretty good overall.
  • Getting off-balance more often, but still able to get around well.
  • Getting less good sleep, but still fairly well rested.

As long as my “still pretty goods” outweigh my “getting this and thats” I am content to have old Father Time do his thing.

You know the saying, “You are only as old as you feel.”  I feel pretty good for all my 74 years. And for that I am grateful.

What will I say at 80?  At 90?  At 100?

I should only live that long.
