Dateline Dayton — Back on my soap box this morning.
Ever considered the amount of time spent by Washington on witch hunts — by both parties?
We really need to clean house.
Soon.
The Washington nonsense has gone on at the expense of good citizens.
Our representatives are afraid of work. So they spend all their time on hearings and in committees, accomplishing nothing.
In recent times, we had the President Clinton fiasco and the Hillary emails. Now it is President Trump and the Russians.
What will get accomplished after our representatives waste a lot of time?
Probably nothing.
Will we know more than we did prior to the start? Not likely.
The Clinton emails show how a lot of time was invested with no meaningful results.
The director of the FBI should have been fired during the Obama administration due to his poor handing of the Clinton emails.
President Obama did not have gumption to do so.
President Trump should have fired James Comey on his first day in office, but he wanted to give him a chance. Yes, the firing was poorly timed.
I tried to avoid listening to the hearing, I have better things to do. Anything is.
It isn’t easy to do if you watch television.
I hope someone in Washington will stop the nonsense and deal with the real problems facing our great country.
Here is an even more serious problem:
Child abuse.
I have been suggesting requiring a license to have and care for children.
Daily I have read where a child has been abused by a parent on caregiver. H
Examples:
- A father was shot by his neighbor trying to drown his children.
- A parent was arrested for the worst case of child abuse seen.
- Two children were killed by their mother to protect them from evil.
We must do something to protect our children from harm. If licensing would help, let’s do it. Now.
