A Bathroom Problem

Evidence that people come to see me for all sorts of reasons, often considering hypnosis a last resort, was the woman with a urinary issue.

She did not need to go to the bathroom, but often she had felt the urge.

When she goes to the bathroom, generally nothing happens.

Hypnosis does not cure this problem but it can help.

As long as the client has seen a doctor who held there was no medical reason for the trouble, we must accept that the problem rests in our subconscious.

Since we were not born with the problem, it must be an acquired habit.

Take a look at yourself: You will see many habits you were not even aware of..

Our subconscious is like an amazing hard drive sponge, absorbing everything it sees, smells and touches.

Marrying Two Ideas

If I mention the smell of fresh bread or freshly laid road tar, you will have an association with each. You alone have made the link in your unique way.

We become the person we are by the age of 12.

We grow up in various environments. The setting, combined with the way we were raised by our parents, makes us the person we are.

As we grow, we may find we don’t like the way we react or habits we have created within our subconscious.

Remember no one else taught us to be the way we are. Circumstances and our own decisions have created the way we are.

If you do not like the way you are, you have only yourself to blame.

With the help of hypnosis, traits can be changed, eased, eliminated.

Hypnosis brings rapid change for anyone who wants it.

Talking with a psychiatrist or psychologist, it will take up to 600 sessions to effect changes. Hypnosis may resolve the same problem in 6 to10 sessions.

Why?

Remember we only use 5 percent of the brain power available to us. Only 10 percent of that 5 percent is your conscious mind. The rest is your subconscious.

To effect rapid change, the subconscious is the area that needs to be changed.

When you talk with a psychologist or psychiatrist you are talking conscious mind to conscious mind. When talking with a hypnotherapist, he directly addresses your subconscious.

Your subconscious accepts the new images of the behaviors you want. Over a few short weeks, improvements come and they stick.

I help clients change the behaviors they get to the behaviors they want. As long as a client is willing to be hypnotized, he can expect the desired changes.

As for my client with the urinary problem, hypnosis was the solution.

We had her wait for a few minutes when she had the urge to pee. She was able to continually extend the time. Her subconscious responded in such a way that she no longer had the frequent urges to urinate.
