An Opinion That Needs a Suit of Armour

Ms. Armour

Nancy Armour belongs to a small professional community. She is a sportswriter for USA Today,.

Their employees must sign a Declaration of Dependence, a loyalty pledge to Obama and Tommy (Gun) Steyer, before receiving their first check.

Stubborn Nancy (“I know it wasn’t very ladylike”) leaped onto the Colin Kaepernick bandwagon — before it had wheels.

She said she was prescient before she knew the definition.

She declared her agreement with the dopey football player before the dopey football player declared why he was kneeling, besides attracting badly needed publicity.

“I was trained as a leftist,” said Nancy. “I don’t need reasons.”

Like a kitten with a spool of thread, Nancy stubbornly plants her feet with an idea. She can’t give up a foul notion no matter how many times she is proven wrong – like getting the trouble-causing Kaepernick, a racist social outcast, signed by an NFL team.

The league’s television ratings have sunk to worrying levels – for serious people, not sportswriters.

NFL owners have treated punk Kaepernick as if he has a contagious disease, which he does.

Except for his selfish attitude, ugly temper, mouthiness, modest talents and racist beliefs, he is an ideal teammate.

Kaepernick walked out on his last team because they had found a better quarterback. His successor is terrific, a dog who has led the team to an 0-9 record.

Punk Kaepernick has not been signed by any NFL team largely because he is a dedicated disrupter, a label Nancy Armour foolishly disputes.

Meanwhile, she whistles into a contrary wind about how unfair America is.
