Liberals often can be identified by their imprecise language that feels better than consuming a jumbo box of chocolates. Or a box of jumbo chocolates.
Take the Jewish liberal group Bend the Arc – please – as my late non-friend Rod Dangerfield used to plead.
Bend’s definition of its mission only is scary if the words are meant to be taken soberly.
Bend the Arc is building the power and passion of the progressive Jewish movement in America by bringing together Jews from across the country to advocate and organize for a more just and equal society. We are the only national Jewish organization that is focused solely on promoting these values here in the U.S.”
After digesting these 54 words, you will not be surprised to learn that Benders showed up at the Hall of Justice in downtown Los Angeles the other day, according to the Anti-Jewish Journal.
At the rally supporting outlaw immigrants who hide in “sanctuary cities,” Benders professed their love for all aliens, no matter how they invade our country.
Rabbi Aryeh Cohen, identified as the Benders’ rabbi-in-residence, sounded distinctly anti-rabbinic when he boasted about his grandfather entering our country as an illegal alien?
He had company. Rabbi Joel Simonds, executive director of the Jewish Center for Justice – what justice, they do not say – uttered those golden words, “we are all immigrants.”
Yes, Joel. And some of us obey the law, even if you advocate otherwise.
Question for Joel and Aryeh:
Be precise. What is the “justice” you are seeking?
For Aryeh:
What do Benders mean by “a more just and equal society”?
