UCLA’s ninth annual Dribble for the Cure, which has raised $1 million in the fight against pediatric cancer, returns to the campus Sunday morning, following 8:30 registration and 10:15 welcome ceremony.

Dribble for the Cure starts directly afterward.

Each participant needs to bring a basketball or buy one at the event.

They will dribble the 1.2-mile course around the UCLA campus.

At the finish line inside the Wooden Center, festivities will take place along with opportunities for autographs and pictures with the UCLA teams.  Bruin student athletes from other sports will also be available for pictures and autographs.

Teams — minimum of 10 players — and individual participants will be asked to collect donations for the Dribble. They will be eligible for prizes.

Women’s basketball Coach Core Close, men’s Coach Steve Alford, and the UCLA Athletic Dept. will join Bruin Hall of Famer John Vallely, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the Cancer Research Program at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA for Dribble for the Cure.

The program starts at Drake Stadium and concludes in the John Wooden Center.

At 10 o’clock, activity booths in Drake Stadium and entertainment begin.
