Unless you, too, espied that mile-long stream of fedora-wearing, business-suited Mexican bankers who tiptoed across the border at midnight, Donald Trump was gloriously correct.
Call his evaluation an inelegant bullseye.
It is unfortunate that the first honest public appraisal in years of America’s deliberate border tragedies emanated from one of its least admired citizens. So what? Truth is where you find it. This scenario is the exact equivalent of falling in love with an ugly girl. You wish she more closely resembled the luscious blonde across the street. In love and political truth-telling, though, a man cannot always choose.
It is a mark of the wide and deep influence of me-too liberals across American society that four-times-accused rapist Bill Clinton and serial liar Hillary Clinton are the most popular couple in America while Mr. Trump, dreaded by the left for his sui generis candor, is pilloried.
Mr. Trump displayed the truth-telling courage that President (I Love My Straw Men) Obama, an advocate of open borders, has lacked throughout the length of his recorded life. In his relentless search for toy-level distractions from the business of governing, the world-class work-averse Mr. Obama has wrung three weeks of juicy publicity from his loathsome trick of blaming the Confederate flag for the Charleston murders.
Publicly acknowledging the precise honesty of Mr. Trump’s evaluation – that Mexico largely is sending us two kinds of rubbish, most are uneducated and a significant number are criminal – is only painful for liberals, the funny-talking people who make up fake phrases for real life – reproductive health, fossil fuels, climate change, undocumented immigrants (un-medical doctor), environmental racism, marriage equality.
Have they no shame?
Conversely, normal people confront and admit the truth daily about illegal aliens overrunning our state and country.
Of course there are beautiful people sneaking across the border, but they are heavily outnumbered, a truth liberal puppets are terrified to admit. It always is easier for the left to rise up in well-polished, permanently offended anger than to challenge reality.
Perhaps the next president will be a man.
