Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,
I have attached an invitation (VA Community Meetings Flyer) to three public VA community meetings this week and one next week.
It is important for all Veterans to attend these meetings, not only to hear what the VA has to say, and what the community “stakeholders” have to say, but what each Veteran has to say.
Veterans should not be represented by the usual “one voice,” i.e., American Legion, DAV, or MOPH. Each of us needs to independently stand up and speak our personal opinion.
If this land is hijacked again by the community, special-interests and non-profits, and reverts back to the ways before under the usual guise of honoring our Veterans, nobody is left to blame except a passive Veteran community.
It is time to awaken the sleeping giant as all Veterans need to stand up and speak out while they still have a chance.
Only those Veterans who speak up now shall have a continuous voice and the right to defend their positions in the future.
Disseminate this invitation far and wide to all Veterans and Friends of Veterans. Encourage not only their attendance, but tell them their voices should be heard.
