The Lockstep Left has honed political “character assassination” to such a fine point that they have obliterated the memory of whatever liberal genius invented it.
Like gangs of ISIS adherents, the Lockstep Left viciously roams the streets – figuratively — in huge mobs, terrorizing normal Americans through the media.
Here is how it works:
One Lockstepper develops a groundless idea. He passes it along to his monitor. Within minutes, the newest “character assassination” of a Republican has spread across the country like a venereal disease.
Today the Lockstep Left has chosen to verbally murder Steve Bannon. He is one of the least known persons in United States history, but he carries the requisite mark of the devil. He is a Republican.
Pick up any newspaper in the country this morning and you instantly will be told, in blaring headlines, that the evil, despicable, disgustedly white Mr. Bannon, a hirsute version of Putin, is on the brink of singlehandedly destroying our democracy. Possibly by the dinner hour.
Mr. Bannon was appointed to the filmy role of chief White House strategist by President-elect Trump.

The silly Los Angeles Times, the sillier USA Today and silliest of all, The New York Times, dutifully and scurrilously impugned Mr. Bannon’s character. They repeatedly assaulted him — by implication – without finding that he has done anything offensive to the slimy Lockstep Left boys.
In the L.A. Times, Evan Halper couldn’t find a reason to damn Mr. Bannon. So he smeared his subject by making up one:
“Republican lawmakers — many of whom have their own reasons for disliking Bannon – were not inclined to defend him.”
Leftists build their careers on lies about their Republican enemies. Today’s hottest accusation is “racism” for two reasons –
- The mere term incites the left’s emotional mob following, and
- Accusations need not be proven, mostly because they can’t be.
In the next two months, we will be told by the Lockstep (We Hate Originality) Left that virtually every Trump appointee is a misogynist, a racist, a sexist.
It is all the lefty boys have in their saddle bags.
