On the day after we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin L. King Jr. I will begin my message with this profound quote.

“Said Dr. King: ‘Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

Here Comes the Rain! Help Us Help the Homeless

Two weeks ago today, during the rainstorms, my wife Karen and I launched a Facebook campaign to raise monies to purchase pop-up tents for homeless people living in South Los Angeles.

In less than 48 hours we raised enough money to provide 40 pop-up tents.

During the rainstorm we went out and distributed the tents. I have never in my life seen a greater sense of appreciation as I did when we handed the tents to these wonderful yet hurting people.

Our next campaign is to reach out to all my email contacts for a donation.

The rains are coming. Many people are still without shelter.

Our goal is to purchase a minimum of 100 tents in the next week.

We have identified a quality tent for $25. Please donate to help us reach our goal.  If we don’t help them, who will?
