Mike HennesseyDateline Dayton – Yet another Ohio child has died, abandoned in a hot car. As is usually the case, the story is complicated. Depending on the account, a man or grandma drove four children to their day care. Only three left the car.

You can forget and leave an eight-month-old infant in your car for multiple trips? Was the child in the trunk?

The car was driven back home, and grandma left for her job. Later in the day, she got back into the car, drove to lunch and returned to her job at Walmart.

At 5:30, the mother of the child called grandma, telling her that only three of the children returned from day care. Grandma went to the car and found the baby still strapped in his car seat in the third row of the car. Don’t know how the three other siblings got home or why none was aware of the missing infant.

Another account has a 10-year-old y putting the infant in the car seat. The mother of the child was 21 years old. The man was supposedly grandma’s boyfriend. Since it happened in northern Ohio, it is barely being covered in Dayton.

Children and animals left in a car are given a death sentence.

Pope Francis is back home, and thankfully he had safe trip here in the United States. Most everyone was impressed with his messages and kindness. I thought he was much too kind to our congressmen and women. He should have taken the Catholic members of Congress aside and explained to them the teaching of the Roman Catholic church on abortion…

Here is a simple solution to the budget crises and Planned Parenthood. All Planned Parenthood would need to do, as I have said before, is get out of the abortion business. That would eliminate the selling of parts of babies they have killed.

I agree with the Pope’s comment regarding Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk balking at gay marriages. “No one should be required to do something that is against their religion,” he said. However, you must be able to do the job for which you were hired or elected. Simple solution: Find a job that does not interfere with your religious beliefs. I realize that in Kim’s situation, her job changed. That is life. Some even call it progress.

I don’t want to write anymore about what is happening to children – teeth being pulled out, thrown out of windows. We must stop the abuse. I still believe in licensing!

Last Saturday was Autumn Fest at one of my favorite places, the Learning Tree Farm, and the crowds were the biggest yet. Rain was falling when I left home in the morning, but by the time I arrived at the Farm, it had stopped and remained overcast for the rest of the day.

I was on food duty. We kept busy all day, running out of hamburgers. We almost sold out of hot dogs, having about a dozen left. It was a very successful day and we did well on the Cow Pie Plop Contest. Three individuals are happy that the cows did their business on their plot of land.

Can you believe this is Oct. 1? Where did summer go?
