Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,
Since this is the day of our We the People Town Hall at 12 noon on Skid Row, 808 E. 6th St., downtown Los Angeles, to end homelessness for all Veterans, here are three stories you should know about:
U.S. to Accept 85,000 Refugees in 2016, 100,000 in 2017, Kerry Says
U.S. to Provide $419 Million in Additional Humanitarian Aid for Syrians
L.A. Lawmakers to Declare State of Emergency, Commit More Than $100 Million to Fight Homelessness
The USA must not accept any refugees on American soil until the homeless Veteran homelessness problem is completely resolved, beginning with our Humanitarian Relief Crusade this afternoon.
Where is the $50 million VA Secretary McDonald promised to send the Los Angeles VA nine months ago?
As We the People arrange today’s crusade — out of our own meager pockets — the VA and politicians have not been offering financial help or assistance.
Join our noble cause. Become a voice for the powerless, war-injured homeless Veterans.
Homeless Veterans lives matter.
Since President Obama already has failed in his promise to end all Veteran homelessness by Dec. 31, and Mayor Garcetti has, too, the nearly half-billion dollars for 85,000 Syrian refugees must be denied. All humanitarian relief should be diverted to the tens of thousands of homeless Veterans throughout the USA.
Forty percent of all homeless veterans are African American or Hispanic although they only account for 10.4 percent and 3.4 percent of the Veteran population.
God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
