Good morning, Mr. Kane,
A fellow member of the Old Veterans Guard recently sent me this video:

This is about Mike Ehredt, a grateful American patriot who made an amazing personal sacrifice and tribute to 6,550 fallen U.S. servicemen and women of the Iraqi and Afghanistan wars by placing one small American flag every mile across the USA to honor every American soldier and Marine who lost his/her life while serving in the defense of our great mation.
Watch this video closely and witness how Mr. Ehredt personally volunteered to place these small American flags all across the United States in proud honor of 6,550 fallen military warriors..
Then he explains why the Old Veterans Guard and Citizen Soldiers are denied hanging even one American flag on the front fence of the Los Angeles National Veterans Home to proudly honor all Veterans who have defended our nation’s colors, particularly the estimated 20,000 disabled and destitute homeless Veterans in Los Angeles.
To summarize, VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald is an international embarrassment. He must resign or be fired.
This disgraceful member of the President’s cabinet is directing VA public civil servants under his command — you and VA attorney Cameron Gore, in particular – to retaliate against the Old Veterans Guard and Citizen Soldiers by mocking, disparaging and denigrating the American flag with direct orders to VA police officers to issue false arrest citations by calling the American flag a “placard, a handbill, brochure or flyer.” Under this shameful and deceptive ruse, they illegally confiscate our American flags.
What a contrast between Mr. Ehredt his supporters across the USA and Mr. McDonald and every VA government employee involved in this malicious anti-Veteran and anti-Americanism assault here in Los Angeles.
Mr. Kane, watch this video closely. Learn what it means to proudly honor the men and women who have defended our nation’s “liberty and justice for all.”
Only at the Los Angeles VA under Mr. McDonald’s anti-Veteran and anti-American command could there be an “Emergency Heads Up – Alert 2” notification against elderly Veterans proudly hanging the American flag.
Only at the Los Angeles VA, under Mr. McDonald’s anti-Veteran and anti-American command, could there be a lieutenant and sergeant of the VA police force – both armed – come outside the VA and physically remove two small American flags that are the same size that Mr. Ehredt posted.
Mr. Kane, you and your VA comrades need to stop this malicious vendetta against the Old Veterans Guard and the American flag.
Correspondingly, each VA employee who has participated in this retaliatory anti-Veteran and anti-American campaign needs to resign.
