Patience, patience.
That is the message to parents, student and teachers eager to witness physical upgrades and makeovers throughout the School District.
The drama has been building for months at the School District headquarters on Irving Place.
In numerous clusters, they are deciding precisely how to invest the $106 million school improvements bond that passed last year like a finger-snap.
Some people have been impatiently rubbing their hands together, wondering when they will see physical evidence of bond spending.
“We want to get the green light publicly, once we have all of our architectural firms on board,” said Supt. Dave LaRose. “We will identify which architects will be responsible for which projects. That should be happening in the next month or two.”
On several occasions, Mr. LaRose has said that assembling the appropriate rosters for the major leadoff projects has been a learning.
When the speed-talking Mr. LaRose is excited, he repeatedly and hurriedly snaps his fingers.
He tells audiences that “we should be having weekly updates that include images and frequently-asked questions and some of the terms I am even using that I have learned over the last year and a half.
“We need definitions. We need to be far more aggressive in our communications,” Mr. LaRose said.
“We want to talk about what our trajectory will be in moving forward, and could-have, should-have and will be happening.”
