It’s summer, and Downtown Culver City is a place to be because this is Third Wednesday’s Backyard Bash, from 5 o’clock to 9, featuring craft beer, food samples, live music and entertainment.
Downtown is a charming collection of outdoor cafes, unique shops, galleries and nightlife opening onto tree-lined boulevards perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Striking landmark buildings are home to an array of entrepreneurial business and creative enterprises. There is City Hall’s handsome architecture, a state-of-the-art motion picture theatre, the nationally-renowned Center Theatre Group at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, as well as the Shortest Main Street in the USA.
Book-ended by entertainment powerhouses Sony Studios and The Culver Studios, Downtown is a combination of small-town charm and urban living.
Home to the landmark Culver Hotel which opened in 1924, a new wave of gastronomy has taken over downtown. More than 30 eateries shape Restaurant Row.
