Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Festival presents six free concerts on Thursday evenings at 7 – July 9 through Aug. 13 in the palm-lined courtyard of City Hall.
Curated by producer Gary Mandell of Boulevard Music, the Summer Festival offers sounds for a wide variety of tastes.
Lineup for Thursday night concerts at 7:
- Thursday, July 9: Latin and flamenco with Calé plus salsa and Latin jazz from Conganas.
- Thursday, July 16: Classic jazz/blues including a superb trio of vocalists with the George Kahn Jazz and Blues Revue plus classic ‘60s Motown/soul from Stone Soul.
- Thursday, July 23: Elements of Celtic music, country (western and swing, too) blues, Cajun, Baroque, rock ‘n roll from Hot Lips & Fingertips.
- Thursday, July 30: Hot jazz and Western swing from the hottest Western swing group, The Hot Club of Cowtown.
- Thursday, Aug. 6: Classic rock with vocals and harmonies, personal lyrics,and high energy from Venice.
- Thursday, Aug. 13: Zydeco music featuring the sounds of Creole from Louisiana and Texas from Bonne Musique Zydeco.
Parking is free for two hours in designated structures in Downtown, and dozens of dining options are available within walking distance.
