This applies to all bus lines including Rapid 6 from 12 midnight to one minute before midnight on Thursday.
“Try Transit” is the motto of Art Ida’s Transportation Dept.
“Why not get out of your car and onto a bus to lower your commuting stress and save money?” asks a department spokesperson.
Culver CityBus will be celebrating the national Dump the Pump Day, which was inaugurated 10 years ago this month by the American Public Transportation Assn. when gas prices reached their highest level at that time ($3 per gallon).
This is a day when emphasis is placed on public transportation nationwide as a travel option that saves money, is healthy for the environment, and improves overall traffic circulation.
