Going into this evening’s Culver City Democratic Club meeting in the Rotunda Room of the Vets Auditorium, the quietest School Board campaign in recent history is under way.
Fifty-five days out from the Nov. 3 election for two open seats, the three-way race for two open seats looks like a stealth campaign.
All three candidates – Prof. Kelly Kent, Scott McVarish and Anne Burke – are scheduled to address Dem Club members about 30 minutes into the monthly 7 o’clock meeting.
Otherwise, the chances to see and hear are sparse.
Dr. Kent has scheduled a meet ‘n greet for 10 o’clock Sunday, Sept. 27, at 4436 Jasmine Ave.
The only other announced date is this coming Sunday afternoon at 1 at Lindberg Park, where the contenders tentatively are due to meet the community.
The Board openings came about because both Laura Chardiet and Nancy Goldberg are stepping down after one term.
