Following a lengthy battle against cancer, Lee Wolkowitz, youngest of former Mayor Ed and Marla Wolkowitz’s three children, died at 11:45 this morning. He was 29 years old.
An Eagle Scout, Mr. Wolkowitz was ailing throughout the last seven years. He had been employed by Star education.
Ed Wolkowitz is a former City Councilman and Marla Wolkowitz served on the School Board.

Lee was not only one of my best friends but a part of my life, never have I met such an awesome human being. From the first day we met when he was 13 we became very close friends, He inspired myself our buddy steve to go out and live our dreams , Lee was a natural leader a man of the people no matter what level you were on, His memory will never be forgotten and his legacy of sustainable Agriculture for the kids is a program that will never fade,Lee in so proud to have been such a important piece in your life,you gave me love and never let me give up,you are truly a hero ,I love you and will never forget u presence.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lee. My prayers are with your family and all that knew him. He was a wonderful young man and will certainly be missed.
