Before this story is over, you may wish your name was Göran Eriksson, the first person to announce his candidacy for the City Council much earlier this year.

To officially introduce the entrepreneur’s first run for public office, the tall, husky and outgoing middle-aged entrepreneur will be toasted in one of Culver City’s premier shrines for would-be candidates.

Starting at 1 o’clock, Mr. Eriksson will be the guest of honor for a meet ‘n greet in the familiar Sunkist Park home of Paul and Madeline Ehrlich, 11472 Diller Ave.

The jackpot play of the month comes up in two weeks, around the date Mr. Eriksson and his fellow candidates in a crowded field for the April election can officially file their papers.

As a lifetime treat for his 88-year-old mother Lilly, Mr. Eriksson is flying the entire family home to his native Sweden for a jumbo Christmas reunion among 18 once and current Erikssons.

Beaming a gigantic smile at last evening’s crowded Christmas tree lighting in Town Plaza, Mr. Eriksson reported that Lilly, who lives solo in a large home, is in excellent health even though – or because – she regularly shovels her own snow.
