Periodically, Parcel B, the best known, most publicized unbuilt property in the 99-year, 9-month history of Culver City, bobs back into the news.
City Hall was scheduled to sign documents yesterday with the builder, Combined Properties.
Patiently, dotted lines still are waiting this afternoon to be filled in.
City Manager John Nachbar estimated signings will happen in a few days, although a precise date is not yet in place.
He attributed the delay to vacation schedules.
In the name of history, Parcel B, the most desirable plot of undeveloped Downtown land, across from The Culver Hotel, was born – at least in the minds of City Council members in another century.
There have been about four stillborn groundbreakings.
The fifth, and possibly most convincing one, is scheduled for autumn – the next autumn.
