The Culver City Adult School presents its second contra dance on Saturday evening at 7 in the cafetorium of Farragut Elementary School.
Contra dancing is a form of American folk dancing.
It always involves live music and a caller.
He calls out the steps and/or patterns that dancers need to move to the music, down the dance hall, while greeting neighbors in a fun, healthy, community-oriented activity.
The mid-evening break will feature root beer floats.
See the Culver City Adult School website for more information:

General admission is $12, but in the school’s effort to build this dance community in Culver City, it is offering a $2 discount to Culver City residents, employees of the School District and Sony who will show a photo ID.
Student and youth discounts are also available.
