Making his second run for office, Marcus Tiggs knows that, next to “I love you,” the sweetest words this side of Election Heaven are “you were prepared.”
This is what Mr. Tiggs, the softest spoken of the seven candidates for City Council in the April 12 election, was told last week.
After making a presentation to the influential Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Assn. of Realtors, Mr. Tiggs won more votes than any other Council hopeful.
The 8,000-member realtor group also endorsed Scott Wyant and Goran Eriksson.
After the results were announced, one of the voting trustees told Mr. Tiggs:
“You were well prepared. You clearly demonstrated your ability to lead Culver City into its next centennial.”
