Java Gala VII, the annual benefit for the AVPA Foundation celebrates a year of accomplishments, as well as raising money for next year’s needs across the entire Academy of Visual and Performing Arts program, arrives Saturday evening at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
A centerpiece for the students of Culver City High School, the Java Gala VII reception, from 6:30 until 8, will feature refreshments, live music by the Jazz Combo, a silent auction, and student art exhibition.

Now completing its 19th year, AVPA has become an institution throughout the School District and community.
As student performers look forward to the 20th anniversary year, the community is invited to join them in celebration of students in art, dance, film, music, and theatre.
