In three special performances, Culver City High School’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts program will present Jazz Cabaret: Two Acts, Two Spaces, One Jazzy Night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The first half of the program will take place in the Robert Frost Auditorium on campus. Featured vocalists will perform big-band hits like Moondance, The Lady is a Tramp and Come Fly with Me with the full Jazz Ensemble.

The event will then move to the more intimate space of the Sony Pictures Theatre, where vocalists will be backed by the Jazz Combo in a selection of standards including My Funny Valentine, Come Rain or Come Shine, Night and Day, and The Girl from Ipanema.

Act One will be free to the public. Because of limited seating in the smaller venue, there will be a ticket charge for Act Two.  Performance times for Act One are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1 o’clock on Sunday. Act Two will begin one hour after Act One.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors, CCUSD staff and high school students; and $5 for high school students with ASB cards and Middle School students. Children in elementary school and younger will be admitted for free but must have a seat reservation. Advance purchase is highly recommended; tickets are available online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/jazz-cabaret-tickets-20191557492
