CNN’s Race to the Bottom Is a Lemon

Remember the good ol’ days if the 1990s when you used to tune in to CNN to learn the news from respected journalists, with an occasional opinion sprinkled in.

When I tuned in early last evening, the Don Lemon Show resembled a cartoon version of  Black Lives Matter More Than Other Lives.

If it differed in crudity and strident tone from a KKK meeting in the woods of the rural South, the distinction was invisible.

Most evenings, Mr. Lemon convenes a black majority panel that reliably vents withering anger about the perceived overt racism that they say is destroying America.

To a man, and a woman, they are driven by high-pitched race-based anger that often appears to have been cooperatively scripted.

Last night’s black Democratic performers were shrill Symone Sanders, a hefty young woman in her 20s, not identified by profession except as a commentator, and shrill Angela Rye, an attorney who would be beautiful if she could find a lock for her mouth.

Instead of debating the latest controversy over the silliness of global climate warming change, the ladies threw away their meds and talked trumped-up racism.

Embarrassingly undisciplined, Ms. Rye and Ms. Sanders consistently specialize in racist screeds rather than mature, reflective insights.

Soft-spoken calmness and balanced maturity were left to the Republican panelists, the ultra-quiet Paris Dennard and equally quietly controlled young conservative journalist Ben Ferguson.

The panel always is tilted 3-2 in favor of liberals. Manipulative moderator Lemon is to fairness what Wilt Chamberlain was to Billy Barty.

Last evening the feminine noise machines mockingly or seriously acted-out rage over Bill O’Reilly of Fox News commenting critically about the James Brown-style hairdo of the mouthiest Democrat in Washington, U.S. Rep. Slapsy Maxie Waters, who finds racism in the color of cert5ain sidewalks.

Ms. Rye, who defies any normal man to marry her, and Ms. Sanders, who can benchpress 4,000 pounds sitting down, surely did not even persuade hardliners because of their uninterrupted, perspiration-soaked rage.

Devoid of insightfulness or a competitive opinion, the ladies should return to their beauty parlors for refunds.

This is what passes for news on CNN. The ladies and moderator Lemon are why President Trump labeled it FNN, the Fake News Network.
