The Exchange Club of Culver City is pleased to present the 12th annual “Cruisin’ Back to the Fifties” charity car show in Downtown on Saturday from 9 o’clock to 3 in concert with our long-time co-sponsor, the legendary car customizer George Barris.

As Exchange Club president, I am proud to preside over this year’s event.

Each year Cruisin’ attracts thousands of families and car enthusiasts to Southern California’s largest street-based car show.

The response and interest in our unique charity car show has been overwhelming.  As a result, this will be our biggest and best show ever.  More cars … more vendors … more family fun.

Most importantly, this show helps the Exchange of Culver City raise money to further our national efforts to combat child abuse and support local youth programs.

Every year with the monies raised from events such as this car show, our Fourth of July Fireworks (at West Los Angeles College) and our Beer Garden at the Fiesta La Ballona, the Exchange Club underwrites multiple college scholarships as well as local programs such as the YMCA, the Culver City Youth Health Center and Culver City High School arts through the Academy of Visual and Parking Arts.

The National Exchange Club has been in the business of public service for more than 100 years.  Our Culver City chapter was established in 1949.

Sadly, just prior to this week’s show, our club lost its last surviving charter member – Bill Fecho.

Bill was instrumental in our local club for nearly 65 years! He was a mentor and great friend to all. In honor of Bill’s terrific record of service to our club and the entire Culver City community – we are dedicating this year’s Cruisin’ to Bill.  We love you.
