Re: “A Rose Dilemma in the Voting Booth? Not Really”
Reflecting on the late election, Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve Rose noted, parenthetically, that even though he is a — or the –prominent Culver City Republican, he did not vote for Donald Trump.
Heaven forbid, not for Mrs. Clinton, either. Not Johnson or Stein or anyone running for president.
With that backstory as a lead-in, Mr. Rose spoke:
“Some women got upset with me when I did not agree with them that what Trump said about women on that Billy Bush tape did not change my mind about voting for Trump.
“What changed my mind was what he said about Sen. John McCain and what he sad about deporting whole families (where there is one or more illegal aliens). Isn’t that what Adolf Hitler said, too?”
Mr. Rose did not back away from his comparison.
“I know I have gone to an extreme, and I do not believe in open borders,” he said. “But I believe that we have an issue here, and let’s get it solved.”
“We need border security.”
