Re: “Red, White and Rose – Steve the Voter”

Culver City’s most prominent Republican was interviewed at high noon on Election Day when it still looked as if Donald Trump would finish a lopsided second.

A lifelong member of contemporary California’s politically incorrect party, Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve Rose said his vote was not misspent.

“My vote as a Republican was not wasted,” he said, “because it is my opinion about those chosen to participate in our representative form of government.”

Keep in mind, though, that Mr. Rose admitted he only voted for “one human” on Tuesday’s proposition-heavy ballot.

At mid-day, he said that this presidential election felt different from all previous ones.

“For the first time in my adult life, and probably since I was a teenager at the time of Kennedy-Nixon in 1960, issues were not in the forefront of a presidential campaign,” Mr. Rose said.

The Chamber president was not a Trump cheerleader.

“I resent what Mr. Trump said Monday night – that if he doesn’t win, it was a tremendous waste of his time and a waste of his $100 million.

“May I just say, ‘Mr. Trump, that was your choice to run and to spend that money. Don’t gripe about it.’”

Mr. Rose did not vote for Mr. Trump – nor for any of his opponents.
