Why Did So Few Speak Out on Behalf of Grace Lutheran?

Lazy is the new active.  A couple of years ago a few residents on the 10700 block of Farragut Drive attended a Traffic Committee meeting at City Hall.

The schools on Farragut had requested to relax the parking permit restrictions for graduation.  No one from the school attended, only residents.  What happened to part of learning is showing up?  The Committee stated that since the school couldn't bother to send a representative, their request was denied.

Fast-forward to this week's City Council meeting.  Grace Lutheran Church, too, wants to relax the parking restriction on the 10700 block of Farragut Drive.

No one from the church put in a speaker's card, just residents, although one of the Council members permitted one of the church Board members to speak.  The Council is considering a traffic study, which, according to city staff, will cost approximately $10,000.

Just ask first and ye may receive.
