Re “Obsessed Enviros Are Choosy About Which Bags to Prohibit”

As a younger man, I was told by environmentalists to use plastic bags to save the trees. Now it is against the law to use certain types of plastic bags? 

When we need a paper bag that grocery stores used to give us free, now stores charge 10 cents each — and split by the markets and unions for their benefit.  

What happened to the idea of recycling all plastic?  Simple laws that ban things can be made into job-creating opportunities through developing a value to plastic just as the government did for aluminum cans and plastic bottles. 

Oh! 

My error. That would lead to a free enterprise solution. More  and more people throughout the world are seeking free enterprise while we in Califonia want to kick back and do a little California Dreamin’…
