A big thanks to the loyal Veterans and community supporters who showed up two days ago for the Fifth Sunday Rally, at the northeast corner of Wilshire and San Vicente in Brentwood, to save the National Veterans Home.
We urge all military Veterans to show up and support this noble cause. Do not neglect the enormous responsibility of saving the hallowed land of the National Veterans Land and passing it on to future generations of America’s military Veterans, just as previous generations have always done since 1888.
Equally important, help us to liberate our fellow Veterans who are being held captive at the Los Angeles National Veterans Home and being denied their Constitutional right
to assemble and protest with us.
Starting at 1 o’clock on Sunday, we will rally at the intersection of Wilshire and San Vicente boulevards, Brentwood to send the following message:

“Shame on the V.A. They Gave Away Our Veterans’ Land to Outside Interests.”

To those Veterans who know how the V.A. Greater West Los Angeles Healthcare System operates, it comes as no surprise that they would give away Veterans’ land to the community of Brentwood for a public park.
That the Greater West Los Angeles Healthcare System would give away $1 million of Veterans’ seriously needed healthcare money to help the community build a wrought iron fence to supposedly “beautify” the entryway into Brentwood comes as no surprise, either.
That the Healthcare System would imprison Veteran patients, residents and/or employees behind this egregious fence and deny them their Constitutional right to assemble and protest to save this land, actually comes as no surprise, either.
If you attended the 120th anniversary celebration of the Deed of 1888 last month, on March 2, you experienced first-hand how the V.A. violated our First Amendment rights to freedom of speech, expression and of the press.
However, the fact that more of America’s military Veterans do not show up every Sunday to protest against the V.A.’s land giveaway and the suppressing of the First Amendment rights of our fellow Veterans who are either patients, residents and/or employees at the V.A. Greater West Los Angeles Healthcare System, is what truly is surprising, and very disappointing.
Fellow Veterans, these Sunday rallies are not just about “Saving the Home.”
No, this is also about liberating our fellow Veterans who are being held “prisoners” on this hallowed land.
If you are more concerned about the “human rights” violations of the Chinese Communists against the people of Tibet than you are the imprisonment and “human rights” violations of our fellow Veterans here at the Los Angeles National Veterans Home, then you need to rethink your priorities.
Please show up this Sunday, at 1 o’clock, to “Save the Home” and liberate fellow Veterans.
