Sticks, Stones and Words All Will Hurt Me

I am saddened to report that my two sons who are gay fit the stereotypical profile of fulltime angry and unremittingly lonely.

The only worse fate I can think of would be a dreadfully crippling malady.

I am sorry that the boys have forcefully estranged themselves – not to flee into a golden paradise of love and fulfillment but a dreary existence that accents solitariness and fury.

You know the story – that I have not seen one for five years, the other for 11. There is a better chance President Obama, the American Putin, will improve his grammar than there is that we ever will see each other again. And they are young men, 30 and 24.

All of this runs through my mind in a loop daily.

I was thinking of them yesterday when anyone who is conscious in America became saturated with uncontrolled demonization of the wretched Deep South, the despicable Duck Dynasty and the unforgivable Phil Robertson, two elements of which I know nothing.

Instinctively, I wanted to lash back at the hardline, embarrassingly insecure liberals/racists. They collect like horseflies on CNN (think Anderson Cooper, Piers Morgan, Don Lemon) and MSNBC, anyone in their employ who breathes. Whenever a religious Christian comments unfavorably about the sacred gay life, these boys and girls come out of the ground, eager to pounce. Funny, though, anti-religious (and uniformly unmarried) liberals never criticize Muslims. You see, Muslims intimidate them. Jews and Christians don’t.

They resent tradition, loathe freedom, and like Mr. Obama, would prefer to kill all disagree with their rad views.

Like squirrels in the flush of summer, they are lightly employed because they are too busy gathering phony data ion how many darned people hate them when they are so huggable.

We are told that GLAAD, the very useful Gay and Lesian Alliance Against Defamation, possibly our country’s loudest hate groups, were busy little nut-collecting squirrels last year.

A year ago this month, the GLAAD girls and boys issued a list of 34 Christian commentators they wanted all networks to ban for their “extreme” views about gayness. Welcome to Soviet Obamaland, home of the free, as long as you concur with me.
