Even as it flies to the World Series today, Westchester’s Babe Ruth 14 U baseball team is making history.

For only the second time in its 56-year history has Westchester qualified for the World Series.

Having conquered the Pacific Region in Surprise, AZ, Westchester will open the eight-team World Series in Murray, Utah, playing the New England champion on Saturday morning at 10.

It is the tournament’s first game.

On Sunday morning at 11:30, they will play the Southeast champion, from Florida.

Monday’s game at 2 matches Westchester with Pacific Northwest, from Twin Cities, WA.

Tuesday is an off day.

Wednesday at 5:30, Westchester will play the Utah state winner.

The title game will be played one week from Saturday.
