His Reaction

As soon as the Boyz ran off with their booty, the victim promptly called the police. The LAPD/Pacific Division took the report.

Since the LAPD’s recent gang suppression work has come under strong criticism by the Los Angeles Times and its thought-suppliers at the American Civil Liberties Union, don’t look for any Culver City Boyz to be punished in the near term.

We are withholding the victim’s name for his personal safety and because there is no compelling public need to know.

He Didn’t Look Vulnerable

He is an athletic man whom, one would think, could protect himself in normal confrontations, except when outnumbered and bullied by boys flying low on their latest batch of drugs.

The gangbangers had no hesitation in approaching him.

If they were fearless in approaching the gentleman, what kind of mincemeat do you think they would have made out of the poor woman who posed the question the night before?

Police to be More Visible?

Hopefully, this will alert police —in spite of all of their territorial concerns over whether the crime scene is Culver City or Los Angeles.

Keep in mind:

At Wednesday night’s meeting of the Del Rey Homeowners and Neighbors Assn., a middle-aged woman — read: vulnerable — asked what was being done to protect bicyclists, joggers, walkers who frequent the long bike path.

Who Cares?

The bike path, said the insensitive “field deputy,” loftily, is not within the jurisdiction of his boss. It is the state’s responsibility to patrol.

Can’t you just hear Mr. Sensitivity at home?

His wife tells him she is feeling poorly. “Thank heaven I feel great,” he responds warmly.

Protection? It’s Ephemeral

We are told that there are fewer security guards along the bike path than sleep in your bed every night.

That should scare you.

Would you jog the bike path at dusk or after dark?

Yesterday our correspondent, Mario Contreras, told you that he never has seen a state ranger on the bike path.

Know Your Enemy

Like all gangbangers who stay in business, the Culver City Boyz know their territory.

Know your people and know your turf are the first 2 commandments in the Punk Bible.

If a comedian doesn’t know his audience, he soon will be bagging groceries at Albertson’s when those union geniuses go out on their next strike in a few weeks.

Who Knows the Boyz’ Schedule?

The Culver City Boyz know the patterns of Don Pedersen’s Police Dept. better than the cops do.

Down to the minute, the Boyz know when and where the cops patrol.

You don’t see them getting picked off do you?

Will the Boyz be back tonight or tomorrow night?
