Three members of the most successful Culver City High School girls basketball team in 35 winters are reaping prized accolades for its brilliant 31-5 season.
While winning the CIF Division 2AA championship for the first time since 1979, the Lady Centaurs brought home the school’s first CIF championship in the last 32 years.
They defeated Mira Costa in the division finals, 55-49, and in the state tournament, they advanced to the semifinals before losing to ultimate champion Chaminade of West Hills, 76 – 46.
- Julian Anderson was voted CIF Division AA Coach of the Year.
- Senior Michelle Curry was voted Player of the Year.
- Senior Kelsey Ueda was selected for the all-CIF first team.
