Culver City Little Leaguers Take Aim at District 25 Title

The Culver City 10-and-Under All-Star baseball team opens tournament play Sunday morning at 9, at the Ladera Little League field, 5401 Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles 90056, against the All-Stars from City of Angels Little League.  
 
[img]2634|right|||no_popup[/img]The Culver City 10U team features 14 players from the Culver City area, including Jared Bojorquez (St. Augustine’s), Thomas Chee (El Rincon), Oliver Frye (Farragut) TJ Keith (El Rincon), Diego Lopez (Playa del Rey), Leo Matsuoka (El Marino), Tommy Peacock (Farragut), Andres Perez (LaBallona), Jair Ramos (Linwood E. Howe), Jason Romero (El Marino), Jesse Tanahara (El Marino), Stephan Thomas (Linwood E. Howe), Travers Tobis (El Marino) and Brandon Zeidman (El Marino).  The team is managed by Henry Brandon, and coached by Andrew Thomas, Brandy Peacock, Chip Netzel and Scott Zeidman. 
 
The Culver City High School baseball program has provided a number of players and coaches to assist the 10U team, including Frosh/Soph coach John Kocker, and players Michael Netzel, Jay Sterner, Darian Sylvester, Daniel Hennessey and Jason Zeidman.  Many of those players and coaches assist with the high school’s “Fundamentals of Baseball” summer camp for players in grades 3 through 8, held weekdays during the first five weeks of summer.
