Here is the latest cyber broadside from the Anybody but Garcetti for Mayor Committee. Below is what a week of the Clinton endorsement can do for Little Wendy's poll numbers … read it here, or the stats are available at Tulchin Research.
Polling Memo from Tulchin Research –:
Our poll finds a very competitive race for Mayor, with Los Angeles City Councilman Eric Garcetti leading City Controller Wendy Greuel within the survey’s margin of error, by just one percentage point, with 44 percent of likely voters choosing Mr. Garcetti, 43 percent Ms. Greuel, and 13 percent undecided.
Survey Methodology: From March 28-April 2, Tulchin Research conducted a telephone survey in the City of Los Angeles among 600 likely May 21 municipal election voters. Interviews were conducted by live professional callers, and the sample included both landlines and cell phone numbers. Margin of error for this survey is plus-minus 4 percentage points.
Let's see if Mr. Davan Maharaj, Editor of the Los Angeles Times, spreads these numbers showing a flat-footed tie between Wendy and Eric as enthusiastically as the Times’s sexist chief did when the previous poll, a few days ago showed Davan's favorite, Tricky Ricky, with a 7- point lead/cushion?
The latest politically-incorrect Times newsroom joke – voiced strictly behind the back of Ms. Seema Mehta, reporter covering the candidacy of would-be Mayor Garcetti – is:
“If Garcetti loses the Mayor's race, Seema might throw herself on Eric's funeral pyre!”
