Congressman Henry A. Waxman
U.S. Representative, 33rd District
Dear Congressman Waxman,
As you know, we have repeatedly and respectfully requested that you join with President Obama to declare a state of emergency in Los Angeles for disabled and homeless Veterans.
Both of you have refused to provide any emergency humanitarian relief project at the Los Angeles VA here in our nation's capital for homeless Veterans. See attached overview of our proposed Humanitarian Relief Project requesting support.
On the other hand, the Obama administration is going to great lengths to use our military bases to shelter children who were illegally brought to the United States.
While homeless vets wander the streets, Mr. Obama's administration uses military bases to shelter illegal aliens.

These children need to be returned to their nation of origin and to their parents … just as the United States returned Elian Gonzales to his father in Cuba a few years ago.
Why is the Dept. of Defense providing shelter for these children?
Where is the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service that initially placed young Elian with his paternal relatives in Miami before he was returned to his native land?
When are you going to “Do the Right Thing”?
When will you open the Los Angeles VA, in your congressional district, for emergency shelter for tens of thousands of war-injured and impoverished homeless Veterans who have been abandoned by our own U.S. government?
Sincerely,
Robert L. Rosebrock
