Dateline Dayton — God does not make junk. Nor does he create evil, which is made by man. We appear to be doing a good job.
School shootings and stabbings are an everyday occurrence, as well as shootings at our military bases. The school incidents are done by youngsters. What makes them commit these evil, deadly acts?
With the military, it is scary because they walk around with guns. Possibly we need better methods to determine who is fit to be in the military, and what civilians have access to a base. The days of the waving visitors through should be over.
We have always had hate groups. Most of us had hoped their day was over. With the killings last week, we know this is not true. Gun control will not work. But guns need to be kept out of the hands of idiots.
This week a woman was arrested for killing six of her babies. In most cases, it takes two to bring a life into the world. Who was the second party in any of the pregnancies? Didn't anyone feel a need to question? What of her surviving children? Where were they during this time?
I still believe licensing should be required to have children.
The other day three children and two adults were removed from their home due to filth. The adults will not be allowed to return until the home has been cleaned and inspected. The children were placed with Childcare Services.
I admit that while moving to our new home, we found dog hair and cobwebs behind the file cabinets in my den that had not been moved for some time. This, however, is not what the authorities were talking about. Either the parents were lazy or never were taught.
Easter Beckons
This weekend, Christians throughout the world will celebrate Easter and the risen Christ. Let us rise up to the challenge to make our world a better place to live.
