The ugly beauty of bigotry is that because of its insidious nature, it must be subtle.
Its co-main objective is to appear to be eluding the glare of light while aggressively stomping forth and back across a stage in an inhuman rage. Its other goal, of course, is to slimily change minds while playing a shell game with the truth for the rubes reading the story.
These were the hallmarks of Planned Abortionhood’s vicious but flawlessly executed weeklong media onslaught against the apolitical innocents of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Abortionhood’s media-wide hate campaign was the dirtiest instant war waged across America since Sept. 11.
Never cross an angry leftie, we learned during the pummeling, or you, your family, your livelihood and your image will pay a likely irretrievable price.
The left has practiced this filthy Kill the Evil Other Side so often that it comes to them more naturally than, oh, say, getting an abortion.
The campaign was meticulously scripted and orchestrated more tightly than the most sophisticated play you ever have seen.
Cast, Take Your Places
Everyone in the extreme left cast knew his role in the lightning-strike war:
To paint Abortionhood as a sinless-little-girl-trying-to-save-the-world, a helpless victim hopelessly sabotaged by the nasty (Republican) Komen women who withdrew one-tenth of one-half of one percent of Abortionhood’s annual grant funding five weeks ago because they were pressured by the “right wing.”
If you ever have stiffed a prostitute, you know how the burly bully girls of Abortionhood — almost uniformly frustratedly unmarried — and their media and Washington pimps responded. Like a cornered hyena.
Extreme left girls are so pit-bull scary when angered — baring their fangs like jungle animals — they could make Cheech and Chong renounce drugs overnight. (They are even frightening when they are not mad, one hour almost every day.) No wonder they can’t attract men, even placid ones. Turning the Sixties mantra on its little flat head, the burly bully girls are forced to make war since they can’t find anyone to make love with.
Abortionhood’s toadies in the media fell to their knees on cue from the burly girls early last week. Oh, my gosh, they were outraged by the withdrawal of a relative penny’s worth of funding. This was worse than the black plague or a Republican Presidency.
Last Saturday, the day after the Komen Foundation was forced to abjectly surrender its dignity and resolve to the machine gun-toting bully girls of Planned Abortionhood who threatened their lives, the major newspaper stories reporting the stunning developments were packed with artfully designed but nuanced lies and distortions.
Kill at Any Cost
The page 1 greasy smear stories in the Los Angeles Titanic and The New York Times were identically structured, because both sup from the same far-left political dish. Five of the six reporters assigned by the two newspapers were anti-life girl abortion advocates.
The aim of both reporting teams was chillingly alike — to virtually ignore Abortionhood, and to center the story on Komen, furiously blaming the breast-cancer group as if Komen were surrendering to the mighty moral superiority of the angry, religion-scorning left.
Qualitatively, the Titanic’s faultily conceived Komen story, No. 2 on page 1, was an assault on honest journalism. The eager girl reporters, drooling, kept excitedly veering off the storyline.
Recall what we said a moment ago about subtleties. Both newspapers’ stories roared down the tracks of prejudiced reporting like a runaway train trying to escape the sweaty clutches of Rosie O’Donnell’s flirting.
From the Titanic:
• “Supporters of Planned Parenthood — including dozens of members of Congress — cried foul.” True but wildly incomplete. What the girls did not admit was that there were 26 left-wing Congressmen, 25 Democrats and the extreme Socialist Bernie Sanders. Oh.
• In an attempt to demonize Komen, with whom the girl reporters violently disagree, they eschewed the pro-life movement’s preferred designation of pro-life. Instead, they heavily salted their story with the adversarial “anti-abortion.” As in, the enemy.
• They note that Komen founder Nancy Brinker, sister of the late Ms. Komen, “has given tens of thousands of dollars to Republican candidates,” without admitting that the other side, Abortionhood, is 95 percent Democrat. Oh, or have I said that?
• At the start of the fake war, the burly girls decided that Komen’s senior VP for public policy, Karen Handler, would be their pet villain and she would be bloodily demonized. Each newspaper’s story stressed Ms. Handler’s Republican background. To underscore, the Titanic mean-spiritedly twice labeled her “a self-proclaimed pro-life Christian,” as if each term were in dispute.
• Both newspapers hitched their stories to quotes from former employees, a gold mine when reporters want to project an adversarial view, and the Times included a made-up quote to boost their side. Oh.
• The New York Times said 26 worried senators sent a letter to Komen, getting down on one knee like Al Jolsen, begging the heroic breast cancer-fighting group to rescind its decision. Only the Times dishonestly neglected to say all are the busybody senators are libs, 25 Dems and goofy Bernie Sanders, the Socialist. Hmm.
• The most whorish figure in this dreadfully phony controversy is the lying, bomb-throwing Cecile (Lying Is So Easy After the First Few Times) Richards. She is the devious boss lady/arsonist/madam of Abortionhood. She rigged this fund-raising scam more brazenly than a television wrestling match or an oldtime quiz show. Wringing her manicured hands as she angelically stood before the New York media, the virgin Cecile said: “I think there’s really been a chord struck over this issue, this issue of organizations who are trying to politicize women’s ‘reproductive health.’ This kind of political bullying — I think folks are just saying ‘Enough.’” There should be punishment for such extraordinary lying, but since she is on the left where lying is routinely honored, she will pull an O.J.
• Finally, there is this takeout from the fundamentally dishonest Times, which lost $40 million last year but has not absorbed the lesson. “…Planned Parenthood, which performs abortions as well as providing a broad range of other health services to women.” This is a truckload of cabbage. The artful phrasing “broad range of other health services” can’t be very large. Planned Abortionhood is the world’s largest abortion mill. Ninety-one percent of their business is performing abortions. That leaves a scant 9 percent for the manufactured “broad range.”
