Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans –

Today when you “Vote for Anyone but Henry Waxman” in the 33rd Congressional District, you will be casting a vote to help disabled and disadvantaged Veterans who have been exiled from their legally deeded Veterans Home and forced to live homeless and hungry on the dangerous back-streets of Los Angeles.

U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman (D-West L.A.) was elected to protect and defend Veterans property in West Los Angeles as a National Home for Disabled Soldiers. Under Henry's “watch,” this sacred land has been pillaged, plundered and converted into a public dog park, a public community park, a public golf course, a playground and athletic field for one of the wealthiest private schools in the nation, a public entertainment center, a tourist attraction, anything but a National Home for our disabled Veterans who need and deserve a quiet sanctuary to heal from their war injuries.

Henry voted to send young men and women into war. But he has refused to provide the necessary shelter and care for them when they returned from serving our country.

This is shameful and disgraceful. The only way to take care of our Veterans is to not vote for Waxman.

Remember, when you “Vote for Anyone but Henry Waxman” in the 33rd District, you will be casting your vote for 20,000 disabled and disadvantaged Veterans who are homeless in Los Angeles – thanks to Henry Waxman who has aided and abetted in giving Veterans’ land away to his rich cronies.
