The community is invited to attend our Culver City Sister City Mystery Welcome American BBQ event on Friday evening.

R.S.V.P.s are required.  Call Alice Impaliazzo at 310. 642.7604 to make a reservation, and the 6:30 dinner location will be revealed.

Two qualified marathon runners, Mr. Daiki Nitta and Ms. Hiroko Hamada, will come to Culver City and run in the L.A. Marathon.

Two years ago Mr. Nitta was all set to run in the L.A. Marathon as part of our annual Sister City trade with Kaizuka when he was called back into service to assist Fukishima officials with the devastation in Japan following their multiple tsunami disasters.

Our guests arrive Thursday, and they will stay until next Tuesday, March 19.

During their visit they will stay with the same runners who represented Culver City in the Senshu Marathon in Osaka representing Kaizuka, Tim Petersen and Michelle Hendrickson.

The Kaizuka runners will be accompanied by several Culver City runners at the marathon. For the rest of the visitors’ stay, several engaging activities are planned, including tour locations in Culver City.

Monday will be another opportunity to meet and say sayonara to our guests when we will host another mystery location farewell dinner party in their honor.

R.S.V.P.s are again required to find out where in Culver City the Sister City dinner is being offered.  Alice will take your reservation information and again reveal the Culver City location of this 6:30 dinner.

The Culver City Sister City Committee has had an on-going runners’ exchange since 2000. Each year we look for qualified runners to represent our Culver City community.
