Re “My Record for Truth-telling Is Perfect”

I try to make it a habit to skip over anything appearing here that is written by Gary Abrams. But sometimes I succumb to the temptation for a good laugh.

Heck, I Am Only Human

In his latest rant, it appears as if Gary has stepped-up the verbal ante with even more rhetorically flawed logic. He now thinks I am angry at the School Board and School District because I'm not getting my fair share of the “booty.” Gee, if that were only the case.

Just Gary and Jesus

He proclaims he has a “perfect record” when it comes to being truthful. I guess only he and Jesus Christ can say that. But, if you disagree with Gary, then you must be the liar. Doesn't that sound like “an extremist’s way of thinking?”

I wonder if he’s writing his own 1,000+page manifesto in his spare time. Now that, readers, was a sample of how Gary uses his flawed logic.

Here’s another example of more flawed logic. Now I know this is flawed. So keep in mind, it is just an example of his innuendo-style of attack-writing.

PurposeIy Flawed

I sometimes think Gary Abrams must be on drugs or something. Or maybe it’s because he just forgets to take his “meds.” I hear he is a nurse. So he probably works in close proximity to where drugs are administered and stored.

Speaking of Beating Your Wife

So Gary, are you sure you haven't tried some of these “meds?” I mean, just sampled a wee bit that was left over, here or there, even once or even once in a while?

Maybe this is where he gets his “shot” of courage to write this flawed kind of crap!

Pretty outrageously flawed in its logic, wasn't it?

Never Used a Nom de Plume

Now about Gary implying my using an alias: Even though the founder-editor of the Front Page may have found reason to conceal, change or invent a writer’s name more than once or twice in the past, my name appears on every commentary I write. If my name is not at the top of the piece, then it is not by me!

Mr. Z, Are Your Pants on Fire?

I have no doubt that Robert Zirgulis is, as he claims to be, a staunch defender and passionate supporter of our Freedom of Speech. He should also know that this Constitutionally guaranteed right to speak freely afforded to all citizens has had judicial limits placed upon it over the years.

Just as, you cannot shout “fire!” in a crowded theatre if there is no fire, the courts have found it necessary to protect District employees from other spontaneous outbursts and incendiary accusations asserted by parents/citizens in a public forum. The courts have given District employees, through the District’s School Board Policy, the right to preview the charges and have an airing of those charges during a Board’s Closed Session.

Not Having the Right

In retrospect, even after Amanda Copeland was advised that she could not openly accuse a District employee by name at that time, she read the offending statement once again, knowing full well she did not have the right to do so. The Board’s President, then, was correct in turning off the microphone, because, in fact, Ms. Copeland, herself, was the one actually breaking the law!
