Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,

I have attached a factual outline and summary of the ACLU lawsuit and the federal judgment that has been appealed by the VA along with Brentwood School and UCLA.

As you will note at the end of the ACLU outline, the VA's Appeal will not be heard possibly before 2015, which is when VA Secretary/defendant Eric Shinseki has promised to end Veterans’ homelessness.

If the Secretary is serious and forthright about his promise, he would immediately drop the appeal and announce Los Angeles to be in a state of emergency for homeless Veterans and build immediate shelter for tens of thousands of disabled homeless Veterans at the Los Angeles National Veterans Home.

Los Angeles is our nation's capital for homeless Veterans, even though this is the largest VA property in the nation.

See the attached letter from American Legionnaire leaders from District 29 in Orange County, Commander Oliver Taylor and Adjutant Gil Flores, and their call to the American Legion's National Commander, Dan Dellinger, to join in demanding the dismissal of the VA's unwarranted appeal. This is at the expense of the American taxpayer and the extended misery and suffering of war-injured Veterans homeless in Los Angeles.

Speak up. Demand the dismissal of the VA's appeal to the federal judgment that adjudicates nine illegal “sharing agreements” between the VA and non-Veteran entities.

God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
