Photo Dates
It’s the name of a new app I just downloaded on my iPhone. It will help me to organize my photos by providing me with time and date information about each photo I will take, and each of the 1,000 photos I have taken in the past year that show up on iPhone’s “My Photo Stream.” I have work ahead because I will need to locate the photos and change their file names to “pzs,” the initials of my new granddaughter, followed by the date. I will use the photo date information when I make a Shutterfly book of the baby’s first year.
Blocked Calls
It’s never been easier to block unwanted telephone calls. It used to be that I had to go to my telephone company’s website and hunt for the instructions on how to add phone numbers to a blocked call list. What a hassle. With my new Panasonic cordless telephones, all I have to do is locate the number I wish to block on the “Caller ID” list on my phone, and then press a couple of buttons to send the number to a blocked call list on the telephone. Similarly, I was able to block all calls from “Unknown” numbers where a phone number is not listed. It’s been so wonderfully quiet around my house lately. I feel so good about not having to answer calls from salespersons, charities I don’t support, and from those spooky “Unknown” callers.
Citronella Mosquito Repellent
Last week after I was fiercely bitten by several mosquitoes while gardening, I ran to the store to buy insect repellent. I bought a DEET variety and a non-DEET citronella spray. I put the DEET spray on the shelf after reading about possibly harmful side effects. I vowed to use the citronella spray each time I went in the backyard — except for going in the pool. This morning was my first chance to try the citronella spray while gardening. It smells like stale lemons, but that is not so bad. I sprayed my socks, my long pants and my long-sleeve shirt. I sprayed my hands and wiped them on my face, being careful to avoid contact with my eyes and lips. It worked. No new bites today.
Have a great week!
