Meanwhile, frustration was expressed this week over the inability of representatives from the School Board and the City Council to meet and discuss several common, “nagging” topics. The City Council has been the pursuer, but has failed to gain even a smattering of agreement on a meeting date, sources said. As Thanksgiving approached, City Hall was employing its ultimate muscle to “force” a meeting. From the City Hall side, one primary subject of interest is a review of the Joint Use Agreement, which involves rental of properties owned by the city or the School District.
