Aldo Dipre, 94, disabled World War II Veteran, states his feelings.

Fellow Americans,

On July 13, we will hold our 330th consecutive Sunday Rally of the Veterans Revolution to “Save Our Veterans Land” and to “Bring Our Homeless Veterans Home.”

This could be our last Rally at this location because the County of Los Angeles has a contrived plan to shut down the sidewalk where we have peacefully demonstrated for the past six years. They are spending $6 million of taxpayers' money to landscape and beautify the entryway into the wealthy community of Brentwood, while attempting to silence our long-standing message that the lives of disabled and homeless Veterans and their sacred land are in extreme danger.

This is to respectfully request your attendance on Sunday, July 13, to protest the retaliatory plans of the County Dept. of Public Works to destroy our peaceful, non-violent Veterans Revolution because we have been successfully exposing the corruption and cronyism associated with the West Los Angeles VA.

Zev’s Backyard

This $6 million landscape and beautification project is in the 3rd District of the County Board of Supervisors — Zev Yaroslavsky's district. It is in cahoots with Veterans Park Conservancy (VPC), which is not a Veterans organization but a wealthy Brentwood homeowner group that has an illegal 30-year, rent-free agreement with the VA to build a public park on Veterans’ sacred land.

The Veterans Park Conservancy’s so-called “sharing agreement” is one of nine that the VA entered into with non-Veteran entities. On  Aug. 16, 2013, U.S. District Judge S. James Otero confirmed why we have been protesting by entering a federal judgment against the VA (defendants Donna Beiter, WLA VA executive director and former VA Secretary Eric Shinseki) by judiciously and legally  declaring the bogus contracts they have engaged in are “unauthorized by law and therefore void.”

Both Supervisor Yaroslavsky and the County Dept. of Public Works are listed as “government supporters” on the website of  Veterans Park Conservancy.  So are U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman and Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

Remember, they all support an operative that has an illegal real estate agreement with the VA that takes land away that was deeded exclusively for Veteran housing. They have given it away to this neighborhood group for a public park and entertainment center.

In sum, the County, in concert with the Los Angeles VA and Veterans Park Conservancy, have maligned and manipulated a 50-year rent free “license agreement” to use VA property adjacent to Wilshire Boulevard to build a new landscape project to beautify the entryway into Brentwood.

The Money’s Ill Target

It is important to know that half of the $6 million being spent for this landscape beautification project and the shutting down of our public protest comes from federal funds, i.e. federal taxes. Congressman Waxman and Sen. Feinstein are 50 percent culpable for this scam.

Instead of spending $3 million of federal money to provide an Emergency Homeless Humanitarian Relief Project on the inside of the VA, Congressman Waxman and Sen. Feinstein have allowed this money to be spent on the outside of the VA with  the County to appease their wealthy cohorts at the expense of war-injured and impoverished Veterans who are forced to live homeless and hungry in back-alley squalor, while shutting down our constitutional right to publicly protest in their behalf.

In brief, this is a hate crime against the Old Veterans Guard compounded by Crimes Against Humanity and Human Rights Violations.

Words alone cannot emphasize strongly enough the urgency and necessity for fellow Americans to attend the 330th consecutive Sunday Rally on July 13 to protest against this immoral spending of taxpayer money to satisfy the “wants” of wealthy special-interest groups instead of providing the “needs” of destitute Veterans.

Remember, tens of thousand of homeless Veterans are depending upon us to be their voice and to keep this vigilance alive on their behalf in protest against the most corrupt VA in the nation that has orchestrated the biggest land-fraud scandal in American history.

Join us when we will have a press conference, guest speakers, refreshments, music, fellowship and camaraderie.

In addition, we will be demanding the immediate termination of defendant Donna Beiter who already has two federal judgments against her — one for violating a Veterans’ constitutional right to free speech and the other for engaging in nine real estate agreements that misuse federal VA property for non-Veteran use.

Defendant Beiter continues to defy the rule of law and her oath of office by refusing to support and defend our U.S. Constitution. She is now aiding and abetting with the County and Veterans Park Conservancy to shut down our constitutional right to peacefully assemble and protest on a public sidewalk.
