[img]2295|right|Robin Abcarian||no_popup[/img]As a – shall we bemusedly say – mature girl of the hard left, angry Robin Abcarian, opinion hope’r-shaper for the Los Angeles Titanic, is committed to making obscure to her fellow liberals what is obvious to all others about the day’s news.
A remarkably unserious but influential journalist, given her platform, she plays the game of most leftists, mocking the right instead of responding soberly to issues. Her hatred of conservatives outweighs her long-dead fealty to honest reporting.
Since early autumn, gangs of black teenaged punks have been roaming East Coast cities, terrorizing one white victim at a time.
Unemployed, undisciplined, they play what they call a Knockout Game. One of their number steps away from his boys, menacingly approaches a usually older, frightened white person (often a Jew) on a sidewalk and attempts to knock him or her out with a single punch. Bravely, the attacker wheels around and flees.
The Titanic and virtually all other left-wing media have ignored this expanding story as if it were about a Tea Partier winning the Nobel Prize.
On page 2 of this morning’s Titanic, Ms. Abcarian’s assignment was to convert the facts of this teen black terrorism into clouds of gas bound to discourage liberal readers, her target audience.
Do I Have to be Precise?
Not known for her faithfulness to accurate reporting since jumping over from the Daily News in the early, 1990s, Ms. Abcarian, like the good left-wing scrubwoman she is, artfully muted the salient touchstones of the disgusting serial crimes in her essay.
Decades ago, she and other liberal journalists signed blood oaths:
They would not blame black criminals for odious acts if at all avoidable. Ninety-nine percent of the time it is, they concluded. Fault incipient poverty, climate change or the right-wing media. Scour deeply enough, the liberal theory goes, and you are sure to uncover a dastardly conservative egging on the vulnerable black actors to do wrong. Try never to mention the perpetrator’s race.
This scenario sounds preposterous but it is as true as your mother’s love is for you.
Is Truth Such a Big Deal?
The Titanic lies as smoothly, as habitually, as President Obama. Ms. Abcarian is this morning’s designated mushmaker of the truth.
The second or drop headline on Ms. Abcarian’s embarrassingly dishonest screed says, “Conservative media falsely reports on a surge of anti-white violence.”
Playing Mr. Obama’s favorite game – Distract the Dolts – Ms. Abcarian opens by making a joke of the vicious crime. In the honorable tradition of the President and his network, MSNBC, Ms. Abcarian ignores the news and instead talks about an obscure author, makes fun of him, tracks down an anonymous, meaningless statistic that she waves over her head, and finally locates another daffy liberal who tells her, “Robby Baby, you are right as usual.”
Are we having a good time or what?
The still fuming, perhaps desperate, Ms. Abcarian changes the subject so many times in the remaining 23 paragraphs that the only slighly race-tined topic she missed was the Dred Scott decision.
By the end, Robby Baby reaches a predictable leftist conclusion:
Blacks are victims rather than instigators. The eight Knockout attacks since Oct. 11 in three Jewish neighborhoods in New York, and others by roving black gangs in Hoboken, Chicago and the Michigan capital of Lansing are just darned coincidences. These crimes, Ms. Abcarian suggests, if they happened, were either caused or committed by conservatives.
Now shall we all wash? Thoroughly.
