[Editor's Note: The community activist composed this tribute to his wife Toby who died two weeks ago this morning.]

I'll always remember Toby's big, brown expressive eyes as they rolled and danced when she spoke about puppies, kittens and infants.

I'll always remember the wrinkle in her forehead when she had an important point to make and needed me to chime in with appropriate comments.

I'll always remember that sheepish look when the quarterly statement of our 401k arrived. She knew she worked hard and put in long hours to maximize our retirement fund. And she was successful.

I'll always remember Election Night when that big grin would appear as our friends won elections.

I'll always remember the scowl on Election Night when our friends were unsuccessful.

I'll always remember “Trade Unionist Toby” at all the rallies, union marches and picket lines during our 117-day strike at McDonnell-Douglas.

I'll always remember my best friend, sweetheart and lover for 33 wonderful years.

For a million reasons, I'll always remember Toby.

I'll always remember our wonderful friends and family who have given me so much love and support during this very sad and difficult time.
